I had the joy to spend part of a Tuesday afternoon last week floating on a quiet lake while contemplating the amazing deep blue sky, the gently swaying tree boughs, and the swirling clouds. It provided a spiritual exuberance that is all too rare in my world today. I definitely need more of that leisure in my life. Thanks!

I am reminded of the old saying - it ain't work unless you don't want to do it. Being a designer/artist creative whacko I have never thought of anything I did as work. Sometimes I even got a paycheck for what I did. I just respond to the energy prompts. Even in my child rearing days when I was consumed from sunup to sundown with the maintenance, corralling and teaching young humans, I guess I thought of it as purpose. Purpose wears many hats. Can purpose be found in leisure? I think so. Some of my best ideas were launched while I was regenerating in what might be deemed as downtime.
But, of course, the grander purpose should always be to live with God's will as our goal, guide and reason.
